Description

Relive an age before 20th Century partitions when these countries formed the Biblical stage, the stomping ground of Roman legions, Muslim armies and Christian Crusaders. Tour Pace: This tour of Biblical proportions follows stories from both the Old and New Testaments, stands witness to some amazing scenery and reveals lost worlds and fallen empires. You’ll encounter historical figures from Moses to Lawrence of Arabia, as well as the odd fictional character too, like Indiana Jones. Hotels: Enjoy a fantastic selection of mostly modern and well located hotels which includes the well respected brands of Marriott, Sheraton and Le Meridien. After a big day at the ‘lost city’, the pool and fine views from your Petra hotel are a welcome respite.

Itinerary

Jordan & Israel (Winter 2012/13)

Day 1 DEPART CANADA

Board your overnight flight (not included).

Day 2 AMMAN AT LEISURE

You are met and transferred to your hotel. Enjoy a Welcome Reception with drink and a light meal.(Welcome Reception)

Day 3 AMMAN – JERASH – PETRA

Tour the Greco-Roman city of Jerash. Return to Amman for a city tour. Continue south to Petra.(Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 4 PETRA SIGHTSEEING

Sightseeing takes you through the Siq to visit the lost city.

Day 5 PETRA – AMMAN

Visit the crusader fortress of Shobak. Continue to Mt Nebo and visit the mosaic map in Madaba.(BUffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 6 AMMAN – TEL AVIV

Transfer by land to Tel Aviv. Tonight enjoy a ‘Welcome to Israel’ drink.(Buffet Breakfast)

Day 7 JAFFA EXCURSION

Tel Aviv and Jaffa city tour with visit to Mini Israel.(Buffet Breakfast / Highlight Dinner)

Day 8 TEL AVIV GALILEE

Visit the ruins at Caesarea. Then on via Haifa to Acre and Church of Annunciation in Nazareth.(Buffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 9 GALILEE – DEAD SEA

Sea of Galilee boat ride. Visit Capernaum and Mount of Beatitudes. Dead Sea swim.(BUffet Breakfast / Dinner)

Day 10 DEAD SEA – JERUSALEM

Cable-car to Masada. Visit King David’s Tomb, Room of the Last Supper and Western Wall.(Buffet Breakfast)

Day 11 Day 12 - JERUSALEM SIGHTSEEING

Tour Yad- Vashem and Shrine of the Book. Garden of Gethsemene. See the Temple Mount. See the Stations of the Cross and Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Celebration dinner at a restaurant.(Buffet Breakfast / Celebration Dinner)

Day 13 RETURN TO CANADA
